W.E.F from 15 Dec, Miss Ek is officially not our principal.
WAIT, DON'T START CELEBRATING/CRYING. (I really think Miss Ek is a good principal.)

He's from JJC.
And he's pretty notorious, I guess.
And he hits a student like, with a wooden stick?!
OHMYGOD, my friend from another school were saying MOE should investigate the matter, and not be switching principals, and there's even a better reason: our campus is just SUPER NEAR JJC. (Which makes me think that MOE doesn't give a heck about RV and anyhow change principal)
SAD, but true. I'm sure that previous student might have started a petition for a change of principal. And his wish came true. Congratulations to them, good luck to us.
(So, 1L, do you think we can be noisier and chase this beast principal away? Its for a better life... okay sounds weird)
My mother said that notorious Mr Koh actually was the principal of HwaChongInstitution. *GASPS, till I choke* Apparently, my brother was under him for his 1st year in HwaChong. He DISLIKED him. ALOT. And my mother said he is not a good principal, everywhere he goes "got story about him one." Wow, even my mother knows.
Since my bro knows him, he says that he's really really Chinese, which means CHINESE ASSEMBLIES. (all assemblies held in chinese.) .___.
So, just to inform you about the change of principal. D: I'M REALLY UNHAPPY TO ANNOUNCE THIS CHANGE TO SUCH A HORRIBLE TERRIBLE PRINCIPAL.
I wonder what will happen if our lives were put in the hands of a HORRIBLE BEAST?

Class Outing 09

class outing

Bus service 401 only operates on weekends, and tomorrow's a Tuesday. So alternatively, we can take bus 196 or 197 which will lead to a bus stop near the CC I think, and from there we walk e underpass.

Bowling is near Macs, coz me and my P6 classmates went there before cycling, it's very near the bicycle rental too (which happens to be $6 for 3 hours). I'm not sure of the exact location, but the bowling is quite hidden. We try to find it tomorrow lor. There are other bicycle rental shops with $6 for 2 hours that I went the other time, but that's a further distance from Macs.

FYI, the bicycle rental shop near Macs...

Double-bike: $8/3hours
Single-bike: $6/3hours

Hope we are lucky to chance upon this shop lor, if not it should be more ex. See tomorrow la haha. I roughly remember where the bicycle rental shop is.

PS: Anyone dunno how to cycle?

Updates on class outing

1. How to get to East Coast Park
I checked and we hav to go to Bedok MRT station and take bus 401 frm th interchange. Is tat correct? If I am wrong, pls correct me.whr to drop off.

If anyone else knows how to get there, pls post. Thanks.

2. Wet weather plans
It's been raining these few days. Hopefully, it wun rain on tat day. But th weather is unpredictable. So I checked their website

(Info on east coast park) , and it states tat they hav bowling services, though they didn't state th specific spot. So, nt very sure on this point.

Is everyone okay with going bowling if it rains? Cos I tink this is th most possible choice.

Anyone else who has other ideas or suggestion, pls post. thanks.

class outing (((:

Dear 1C,
so th class outing has been finalised.

Date:
24/11/09
24 th november 2009

Venue:
East coast park

Time: 8.30 am - 2.30 pm

Things to do:
CYCLE + LUNCH

Things to bring:

• money: for renting of bikes and LUNCH
• umbrella? in case it rains
• water bottle (we are going to be cycling)

Meeting place:
Jurong East mrt (platform near th lift area)
8.30am-8.45am
Pls be punctual!
gentle reminder: pls rmb to hav ur breakfast first

From there, we will take th train to east coast park
we will probably reach there at around 10 am

then,
CYCLE for max 3 hrs.
which means 10am-1pm for cycling

After that we go hav LUNCH at 1 pm
everyone voted for mcdonald's
LUNCH for 1.5 hrs shld b enough.
So, 1pm - 2.30 pm for LUNCH

Thus, we will end around 2.30 pm

Let's cross our fingers and wish for fine weather that day :D

Dear 1C,
I’m really sorry about this last minute decision, but the date of the night safari will be CHANGED to Saturday, 31st November.

The reasons being:
1)Too few people. A lot of people made last minute cancellations so we’re now left with 7 people. Gracia, Gladys, Zhi Jun, Prisca, Hui Ping, Tsi Yuan and myself.

2)I’m down with fever and I doubt I’ll recover by tomorrow so I won’t be able to collect the tickets.

3)Cannot pay the student price of $24 because there’s a minimum of 10 student required.

So I would like to know who can or cannot make it on the 31st. Please sms me ASAP and bring the money on Tuesday. For those people who require refunds, I’ll do it on Tuesday.

1C, this is a class outing, and I really hope that you all will try to make it.

2 major things to tell you all.

Yeah, 2 major thing to tell you all.

1. Haiz. I know that this is probably the same thing that most of the people has already said. But, I can't help saying it again. We should not let this PSS thingy get us down okay. 1Chiongster is already not very bonded. Last time, dunno who go and dlt the class posts, caused another uproar in 1Chiongster.
Dun worry. Hillary has thought of a great idea (which i approve! So funny!) - and some others i guess. Heh.~ JUST COOPERATE. We aren't asking you for anything big, just cooperate. Ok?

ESTELLE HAS VOLUNTEERED TO BE THE NARRATOR~!^^ YAYE!

2. This is very very important. Even if you did not pay attention to the above post, LOOK at this post now. This is for the tmr camp perfomance thingy. ^Hillary, Tsiyuan, Hui Ping, Ling Sheng, Hui Xin, Ching Ling, Jane and Xuteng all thought for HOURS to think this up. {Nah, just joking. ~ We sent 15 min only but tt was because we had a brainwave~)
We are going to do a skit cum some singing and the topic is Effective bilingual thing (which means to speak chinese and english fluently if you still didn't know tt.) (GUYS PLEASE COOPERATE!)

1st part:
People needed - One C ppl and a narrator~
One c will start by singing this. {!}
一闪一闪亮晶晶
满天都是小星星
Up above the world so high,
Like a diamond in the sky,
[These 4 lines narrator puts a thumbs up sign]
Twinkle twinkle 亮晶晶，
满天都是 little star.
[Thumbs up sign goes down.]

The narrator will then say "Oh no~！These children can't even speak proper ENglish and Chinese! How can they uphold the future of SINGAPORE?" *looks sad*
Two people from the group then stands out, saying, "How ah? The 未来 of Singapore veli important leh~"

2nd part:
People needed - One C - two groups. One will act, and the rest, sing.
A group of ppl will sing this standing at the back will some will stand at the front.
Follow to the tune of 今天你要嫁给我～

Firstly, the singers will sing this and the ppl will act like they are very hardworking in learning English.
今天我们学英文，
listen oh,
lets work hard,
study English,
never giving up, oh~
make the world a better place.
We will try our best,
never ever give up,
lets learn English oh.

Two people (One guy and one girl):
Guy goes on stage - English in the house~
Girl goes on stage - Chinese in the house~

People needed - Narrator and class divided into two groups, odd number one group and even number one group.
Narrator comes on stage with one c standing at the back.
Narrator says: "Whoohoo! Today is my birthday~ LALALA^^"
One person from One C steps out and says: "We have prepared a surrrrpise for ya!"
NArrator: "Are you going to sing me a birthday song? I dont wan to hear it! It obviously has Singlish!"
1st group starts to sing Haooy birthday in chinese.
2nd group starts to sing Happy birthday in english.
The narrator then says: They lived happily ever after. 他们的生活过得很幸福!"
The end lorh. Got any suggestions? Tell us tmr~

Try to bring props tt you think we will need, like English and Chinese notes. Yeah.^^
